This scholarship was established by William R. Gann to support and encourage students pursuing degrees and careers in music and music education. Though Mr. Gann’s career path extended into other fields including counseling, academic leadership, and genealogical research, he majored in music theory and acknowledges the importance his musical education and teachers played in his success. It is Mr. Gann’s hope to support the education of other musicians and music teachers.
