Students applying for scholarships for the 2026-2027 school year should complete the FAFSA. Read below for details.
What is the FAFSA?
The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It is a form that collects demographic and financial information to determine your financial need for college.
Why is the FAFSA needed in my THCF General Application for scholarships?
THCF uses the report that is issued to you once your FAFSA application has been submitted and processed, called the FAFSA Submission Summary, in assessing the financial need of our scholarship applicants for those scholarships that consider financial need.
THCF will accept any of the following forms of FAFSA documentation in the General Application for 2026-2027:
- FAFSA Submission Summary (the report that students receive once their FAFSA has been processed)
- FAFSA submission confirmation email showing their estimated Student Aid Index (SAI)
- Results of the Federal Student Aid Estimator
Where can I find more information about the FAFSA?
Visit www.mofafsa.org to learn more about the FAFSA, including:
