The Midwest Hemophilia Association offers this scholarship for students who have been diagnosed or have a family member diagnosed with a bleeding disorder. Eligible applicants must be members or relatives (if under 21) of members in good standing with the Midwest Hemophilia Association.
Eligibility:

Amount: May be $3,000 - $5,000 depending on funding.
Deadlines: General applications and additional requirements are due February 24.
Please note that the general application requires transcripts showing grades from Fall Semester 2022. Any applications submitted with transcripts omitting Fall Semester 2022 will not be considered. We recommend getting started on your application as soon as you have received your Fall Semester 2022 transcripts so you have time to prepare the additional requirements.
Renewable: Yes, this scholarship can be renewed for additional years of funding. A renewal application must be submitted with proof of continuing college enrollment and a minimum college cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Requirements:
- Letter of reference from a supervisor of an activity in the resume you submit in your application;
- Letter from doctor certifying that you either have hemophilia or a related bleeding disorder or are the family member/carrier for hemophilia or related bleeding disorder;
- An essay of approximately 500 words elaborating on your educational and career goals and why you feel you should receive this scholarship.
