Students
Rich Swanson was a member of the Alpha Iota Chapter of Sigma Pi. It was an organization in which he and his wife Ruth wished to continue in his absence by virtue of a very generous gift. It is in the memory of that gift, and their philanthropy, that the AIEF established the Rich and Ruth Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship reminds both active Sigma Pi members and alumni of the value of leaving a lasting legacy to those that come after us.
The intent of this scholarship is to distribute a total of $5,000 per academic year to assist financial need-based in-house member(s) and allow them the opportunity to remain in-house for the following academic year.
