As We Approach Year-End, Now Is the Time to Refill Your DAF 

Many fundholders were especially active this year—responding to urgent needs, helping fill the gap for struggling nonprofits, and supporting initiatives that kept families afloat. If you've recommended several grants throughout 2025, your fund balance may be lower than usual heading into December. 

Refilling your Donor Advised Fund (DAF) before year-end offers two important benefits: 

1. Capture Your 2025 Tax Deduction 

A contribution made before December 31 may qualify for a 2025 charitable deduction—an important consideration as many families review their tax planning before the Big Beautiful Bill transitions in the next few years. Contributing now gives you the deduction this year, while allowing you to make grants later, when the need is ongoing. 

2. Give Yourself Flexibility in the New Year 

With a fully funded DAF, you can continue supporting the causes you care about without worrying about timing or added administrative steps. And because your DAF may grow tax-free over time, a contribution today can fuel even greater impact tomorrow.
