About the Symphony
The Lee's Summit Symphony Orchestra is led by conductor and composer Kirt Mosier and currently includes 100 local musicians. This season promises more great music to more sell-out crowds in the area's largest performance space.
Since the Symphony’s inception in 2003, thousands of patrons of all ages each season have enjoyed the talents of our musicians during our culturally enriching concerts. Through our diverse programming, special guest performances by local musicians, and special outreach and performance opportunities, the Lee’s Summit Symphony is an innovative leader in the local arts community.
Music education is an integral part of the Symphony’s purpose. The power of music has proven to provide many benefits to students including higher engagement in school, increased language skills, improved test scores, and more.
Many of the Symphony’s musicians teach in our community schools and, in some cases, play next to their own former music students bringing music education full circle.
Come see why so many patrons enjoy the Symphony throughout the year.
