Students
More than 184 Truman Heartland donors have created scholarship funds to help students follow their dreams and work toward a brighter future.
Truman Heartland awards scholarships to students based on criteria set in partnership with donors to support students pursuing various educational goals. Since 1982, Truman Heartland has awarded more than $7.5 million in scholarships. For 2024-2025, we awarded more than 400 scholarship awards totaling more than $828,000 to area students. Most of our scholarships support students from Eastern Jackson County or local schools and universities.
Whether you are a graduating high school senior, a current college student, or a professional wishing to improve your skills, we invite you to apply for a scholarship at Truman Heartland Community Foundation. Review all the scholarships we have available for both our General Application and Stand-Alone scholarships and the associated timelines or if you are ready, learn how to apply!

Submit one General Application to get matched to multiple scholarships for which you might be eligible. Then, complete all the requirements for each scholarship match, like writing essays and uploading letters of recommendation, and you're done.
