Making an Impact in Our Community
We're always looking for ways to be a catalyst for change in Eastern Jackson County and surrounding communities. And we'd like your help.

In addition to our donor services, we have created various programs and initiatives that expand our mission—from providing gift planning assistance to nonprofit organizations to cultivating young philanthropists through our Youth Advisory Council.
Our current initiative work includes:
Partnering with Nonprofits - We help area nonprofit organizations grow their endowed funds through planned giving support.
Job Skills for New Careers - We work to ensure Eastern Jackson County is collaboratively and proactively working together to meet the ever-changing needs of our community. Job Skills for New Careers aims to help improve the economic status of families in Eastern Jackson County by providing a pathway to higher paying, in-demand careers through job skills training, financial coaching and mentorship.
Youth Advisory Council (YAC) - We engage the future leaders of our communities in our work at the Foundation. With more than 160 students involved annually, YAC carries a strong voice. YAC members learn about philanthropy through fundraising, grant making and community service.
We invite you to support the work of Truman Heartland community programs by joining our Annual Foundation Fan Club.
