Legacy of Giving: Easiest Year-End Gift

Between now and the end of the year, you’re striving to give generously to the charities, ministries and people who matter to you. As you think about the ways that your giving can make a difference, don’t forget the impact of an estate gift.

Planning a gift to charity in your estate helps you give peace of mind to your family and your favorite causes. Partnering with Truman Heartland Community Foundation for your legacy plan, your gift will be exempt from estate taxes, giving you the most charitable dollars to grant to the charities you care about.

When should I include a gift in my estate plan?
Now. You can include a gift by simply naming Truman Heartland Community Foundation as beneficiary on any of your assets, including IRAs, securities, real estate and life insurance benefits.

For many, these gifts are added to their family fund, while others are used to establish a family fund. It’s your choice. Whether your gift will be designated for specific charities, create a scholarship fund or a grantmaking fund for an interest area, a gift to Truman Heartland in your estate can provide a perpetual stream of income that nonprofits can count on.

Plus, by sharing your plans to leave a gift to Truman Heartland, you join the Heartland Legacy Society and partner with 150 donors who share your passion for philanthropy.
