The Truman Heartland Community Foundation works closely with more than 100 charities to support and expand their missions in the Heartland Community. Our services for partnering charities fall into two categories: financial management and fund development.

- Expand Your Mission by establishing a Capital Campaign Fund. This customized investment fund provides the highest returns on your collected balance during the campaign and is available for your mission afterward.
- Expand Your Mission by keeping Heartland donors current on your needs through Donor Central. Provide the information donors should know about your charity on your website.
- Expand Your Mission by hosting a “Behind the Scenes” event for the Foundation's 200+ donors, offered exclusively to partnering charities.
- Expand Your Mission by submitting your web address so Foundation donors can easily access information about special projects, endowment needs or general operating support and can make contributions directly to your fund with Charity Direct.
- Expand Your Mission by hosting a “Behind the Scenes” event for the Foundation's 200+ donors, offered exclusively to partnering charities.
- Expand Your Mission by attending the Foundation's annual Grantwriters' Workshop and other helpful seminars and workshops at a discounted rate to explore best grantwriting practices.
- Expand Your Mission by connecting to the next generation of philanthropy-minded leaders and donors via Heartland's Next Generation. HNG members are great potential board members, consultants, and donors.

Grant Information
Donors to Unrestricted and Field of Interest Funds entrust the Truman Heartland Community Foundation Board with the responsibility for selecting appropriate grantees from the following broad areas of charitable activity. Click here for a list of grants given in 2004.
The Foundation has established guidelines and criteria which guide this grantmaking process, routinely evaluating them in light of current and emerging community needs.
