Become A Donor
Starting a fund with the Truman Heartland Community Foundation can be accomplished in a few easy steps.
- Contact the Foundation or your professional advisor to discuss your charitable objectives and determine the Type of Fund that you wish to create.
- Determine the Type of Gift you will make (valued at $5,000 or more).
- Decide what to call your fund (perhaps named after a family member or the name of your business), and designate current and successor advisors.
- Create an Instrument of Transfer to establish the fund.
- Determine the how you would like your fund invested in our Fund Investment Program.
- Utilize the Foundation staff for all your charitable needs, such as: identifying worthy causes; making additional contributions to your fund; leaving a legacy in the community; etc.
