Charity Direct
Welcome to Charity Direct, a no cost way for you to support any of the charities that have joined with us to increase donations for their missions. Each of the organizations has accounts at Truman Heartland open to anyone who may wish to assist them financially. Some have more than one account in order for the donor to direct money to a specific program rather than for general support. Also, many of the charities have links to us so that you may learn more about their work.
Making a contribution is easy. Simply search through our list of charities, make a selection of one or more, make your check out to Truman Heartland Community Foundation and note the charity in the memo section. Drop it in the mail and we do the rest. We will deposit 100% of your money directly in the charity's account. There is no "middleman" collecting a fee between you and the charity. This is our way of helping those organizations that do so much for the quality of life in our communities.
You will receive an acknowledgement of your gift with our thanks and the charity will be notified of your gift. If you prefer to remain anonymous to the charity let us know and we will shield your name. Because the Foundation is also a charitable organization, contributions to us for any charity are also deductible to the extent allowable by law.
We also have the capability to receive gifts direct from your bank account if you wish to be a regular contributor. Donations by credit card are also acceptable. For contributions either by credit card or direct withdrawal contact us and we will provide you with the necessary steps.
