Don & Barbara Potts
Don and Barbara Potts have always been supporters of Truman Heartland because they know first-hand how much good can come from Community Foundations. Don being a retired doctor and Barbara a former Mayor of Independence, have both invested in the growth and development of their community. Barbara says, "We don't have wealth by traditional standards but rather by experience and our foundation is an opportunity for us to give back to a community that has given us so much."
Don and Barbara have a deep passion for their community and want to continue to support area charities beyond their lifetime. "Our children live elsewhere and have different interests. The Community Foundation understands what we want to continue supporting, and they have the integrity and knowledge to direct our funds after we're gone."
