Heartland Philanthropists
Each year, the Community Foundation Board of Directors recognizes a Heartland Humanitarian and a Corporate Citizen of the Year for their involvement in increasing charitable giving in area communities. The Heartland region is a very charitable place to live. Every year, donors give millions to support charities throughout our communities. It is a pleasure and a privilege to recognize some for their efforts. We invite you to read the stories of some of our past honorees to learn more about their impact in our communities.
Mayors from area communities are also invited to select an outstanding citizen from their community who has made significant contributions to the areas of economic or financial development, business leadership or cultural leadership. These individuals are then presented with the Truman Heartland Community Foundation “Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award”. Scroll the list to see who’s been honored from your community.
