Council of Clubs of Greater Kansas City Scholarship

The purpose of the Council of Clubs is to encourage and promote educational development through financial assistance to young people. In keeping with this mission, the Council of Clubs of Greater Kansas City is proud to sponsor this scholarship to assist students in the metropolitan Kansas City area in obtaining formal education. This scholarship funds all fields of study at all levels including undergraduate, graduate, technical, professional and trade education.

Eligibility:

  • Must be pursuing a certification or degree at an accredited trade school, junior college, college or university that is located within a 50-mile radius of Tenth and Main Streets in Kansas City, Missouri;
  • Must have maintained a B average (3.0 GPA) for the previous semester;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership potential as evidenced by leadership positions held in extra-curricular groups, committees, community service groups, etc.

Amount:

Up to $500 per academic year.

Renewable: 

Yes, this scholarship can be renewed for three additional years of funding. A renewal application must be submitted with proof of continuing college enrollment and a minimum college cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Deadline:

Applications must be submitted by March 1.

Forrest and Marjorie Martin Graduate Scholarship

The Forrest and Marjorie Martin Scholarships were established as a bequest from the Marjorie N. Martin Trust and Forrest Martin Marital Trust in 2007. The Graduate Scholarship provides assistance to Eastern Jackson County residents who are full-time graduate students enrolled in at least nine credit hours at any accredited college or university.

Eligibility:
  • Must have been a resident of Eastern Jackson County for the past 12 months or a high school graduate of any public or private high school in the Blue Springs, Fort Osage, Grain Valley, Grandview, Independence, Lee’s Summit, Lone Jack, Oak Grove or Raytown school districts;
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time graduate student with a minimum of nine credit hours at an accredited four-year college or university;
  • Must have a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.0.

Amount:

Up to $4,000 per academic year ($2,000 per semester).

Renewable: 

Yes, this scholarship can be renewed for one additional year (two semesters) of funding. A renewal application must be submitted with proof of continuing graduate school enrollment and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Deadline:

Applications must be submitted by March 1.

Tile Contractors’ Association of America, Inc. Architectural Scholarship

Truman Heartland Community Foundation manages the Tile Contractors’ Association of America’s scholarships. Eligible applicants for the TCAA Architectural Scholarship must be pursuing a professional degree in architecture.
